Sweet Home Chicago

I only harbor one regret about Election Night 2008: that I was not in Chicago, Illinois. Given how much I adore that city, it makes me long all the more to have been there to see Barack rock the house. High Def television can't hold a candle to this live event. So to make up for that, I'm going to live vicariously through my little brother, who was indeed there, and proudly strolled up Michigan Avenue from Grant Park on a night he'll never forget. Here are some photos he produced from the night. Since he has abandoned his half-assed attempt at blogging :), I feel it is my duty to post them here.

To quote my brother:

If you ever wanted to see what pure joy looks like, this was the place to be.Never have I seen an environment so filled with energy and excitement. Random people were alternately hugging, screaming, high-fiving, and crying, and the sound of the car horns and cheering was deafening, even more so down on the ground, where there were so
many people! Don't believe what the news outlets told you, the crowd was MUCH larger than 200,000.

Can you smelllllllll what Barack is cookin'???

A Cappella Goodness

Since someone finally put this on Youtube, I'm finally posting it here. For those who never saw it or for those who are super a cappella geeks, here it is: my fateful auditions, via Newsweek.com.
